While at the Alamo two days ago I remembered that there are persistent rumors that people hear shouting, gunshots, and bugle calls from the grounds of the Alamo. Gunshots I can believe, it's in downtown San Antonio.
I didn't experience anything and didn't think I would. I did find a cold spot in the 100 degree heat every time someone opened the door to the gift shop.

Last time I was at the Alamo was in 1998. I remember it being rather noisy since all the people and vehicles driving by side it has been made a tourist attraction spot.
A gunshot and a muzzle load shot sound completely different. However, a gunshot is louder. Muzzleshots have a softer but longer puffing sound than a gunshot's quick bang.
The bugle horn, I do remember that there is a guy that plays a bugle periodically in remembrance of the Alamo's sacrifice.
Isn't the gift shop air conditioned? Opening the door would let out a puff of cool air.
